Home Décor Tips To Impress Your Friends
Step 1: Pick a motif and go with it! Don't pair your childhood bedspread
with a new wrought iron bed and lace curtains. Choose colors that remind
you of things you love. For example, my bedroom is all done in tan and
pastels, because those colors make me feel like I'm in a spring meadow.
Other favorite motifs include ocean, fall or sunset. Make it the vibe that
fills the room. This mean not just your bedding, but also any framed
artwork or standing decorations should go with the motif. Step 2: Make it smell yummy! A room with a pleasant, inviting fragrance is
a great start to creating that special space where you go to escape. Choose
scented candles in your favorites smells. Vanilla is always relaxing and
tantalizing. Another choice: incense. It comes in limitless scents, and
you can be constantly changing your scented sticks to match your mood.
Plus, incense holders are decorations in themselves. They can be wooden or
ceramic, and some even come in statue form, so pick one that goes along with
the motif you've selected! If you're not up for burning, then go with a
nice air freshener or plug in to give your space the smell that makes you
come running. Step 3: Make it soft! Your bedroom is the place where you should feel the
most comfortable, so make it your own nest. You should hardly be able to
hold back from cuddling up in your soft bedspread (I recommend down!) and
pile of overstuffed pillows. Also, a soft, cushy rug beside the bed is the
perfect way to start your day of on the right foot. Step 4: Get rid of the mess! Nothing kills a good mood like walking into a
cluttered room. Your place of relaxation should not be polluted with dirty
clothes on the floor and piles of things "to be put away." If you take the
attitude that your room is your paradise, and when in it you should feel
spoiled, you won't want to leave yucky messes lingering among your goodies.
Invest in plastic crates that slide easily under the bed or in the closet
for out-of-sight storage. Step 5: Personalize! If someone else entered your room they should know
you live there. Fill it with things you love. Whether you like artsy
decorations or plant life or black and white collages of you and your loved
ones, surround yourself with the things that make you feel happy! Research from:

Amish Furniture A Piece Of American Pride
Over the past several months I have been actively working with Amish Americans. The Amish have a unique culture, and are often called the "Simple People." Amish appear to be caught in a time warp dating back to the early 1800's. A time when horse power was a term counting the actual number of horses, and instead of E-mail snail mail is the normal means of sending someone a letter. Yes this lifestyle does appear slower, simpler, and not as efficient to the novice eye, however I have found that we should examine the finer points of their simple but industrious culture.
Outdoor Cedar Patio Furniture Goes Indoors!
It would be obvious to assume that the sudden boom in Patio Furniture sales was due to the hot new trend of building "Outdoor Rooms" that originated on popular Home and Garden TV shows and in Outdoor Decor Magazines. But there's another less obvious explanation as well. Patio Furniture peices like the Garden Bench, Porch Rocker, Athena Adirondack Chair, Classic Adirondack Chair, Adirondack Loveseat, and Picnic Table are more and more being adapted for use indoors, particularly in Cottages and Cabins.

How to Choose Discount Wood Blinds
Despite the high-end look, discount wood blinds are available. Constructed from the less expensive types of wood, these discount wood blinds can be very reasonably priced. They are pre-designed, pre-made, and pre-cut and can't be made to order. Discount wood blinds come in limited styles and options; however, they are just as good as customized wood blinds in terms of quality and durability. Most discount wood blinds are made of bass wood, a kind of wood obtained from the Linden tree. Linden trees are native to Mexico, North America, Europe, Japan, and Asia. Bass wood is popular for blind construction because it is soft-grained and light but strong and durable.

A Look at Faux Wood Blinds
For those who want the warmth of wood, but are concerned with wood damage, faux-wood blinds may b e the answer. They are made of artificial materials but are designed to look just like real wood blinds. They are much less expensive than wood blinds. Faux-wood blinds are designed to be used in rooms with high levels of humidity like bathrooms and kitchens. They don't tend to warp unlike blinds made of real wood and are stain resistant.
A Guide to Wine Racks
It is a cliché that wines get better with age. How a wine ages will depend on how the wine is stored. Wine racks are a simple way to store unopened wines for the short-term.
Wine Rack Kits and Plans
Properly storing wine keeps flavor and lets wine age so that you can taste its evolving, complex flavor. Buying a wine rack, however, can be pricey, especially for someone who is more interested in developing a robust wine collection, not decorating.

A Guide to Discontinued Wedgwood China
Everything has its day and its time, and Wedgwood China is no exception to the rule. Because the company is 250 years old there are patterns that were used to create dishware that simply no longer exist, but pieces of the dishware still do. People take such good care of their Wedgwood China and such good care went into their manufacture that many of the original pieces made in the very early days of the company are still in existence. The situation is this ? when people die, they pass their Wedgwood China collections down to their heirs. During the course of history, pieces break or go missing. Thus, the value of a complete set dating back a long time is almost impossible to imagine. However, around the world there are organizations who try to match collections of Wedgwood to make complete sets. For later designs, it is easy to get fill-in pieces to restore your set to its original grandeur.
An Introduction to Air Purifiers
Air purifiers have been around in various forms since the 1940s, when the first HEPA filter was designed to protect workers from airborne nuclear material. Since then, air purifiers have been used in hospitals, work sites, and homes to protect against viruses, mold, bacteria, pollen, pet dander, tobacco smoke, dust mites, and a great number of industrial and household chemicals. The people who stand the most to gain from air purifiers are those with allergies, asthma, and other respiratory ailments.
